Also Rakarth seems to be a lot more amenable than usual, which is a nice bonus. So if anyone's doing a co-op campaign anytime soon, I massively recommend this pairing.

Plus, the additional army support helps deal with Norscan finance woes! It's fairly easy for most lords to get nearby to support too what with Khazrak and Morghor being nearby, Malagor's super Beastpath movement, and Taurox's Rampage. Normally as Norsca you need to max out your devotion to Onagle, but a nearby herdstone can have a simple cheap building that farts one out on a semi regular basis - especially handy for helping growth in those pesky landlocked capitals! So for a province with one port and one landlocked settlement, you can have the landlocked settlement be part of the bloodground, then raze it, and it then helps with their public order as they won't suffer the Untainted penalty (and thus frees up a building slot!) This is especially helpful for fully landlocked racial capitals.įinally, the Plague of the Crow provides +20 growth and +50 Chaos corruption to any Norscan settlement it hits. So with careful positioning of your herdstones, you can have your bloodgrounds overlap provinces that they could only take part of. (EDIT: It will take a turn or two to be recognised as a bloodground with the red mark, do note)Īnother is that razed bloodgrounds around a herdstone generate a whopping +20 Chaos corruption. You don't get the marks of ruination if your co-op buddy razed it mind, but given you often only need to raze one or two of several to get enough for the ritual, it means your Norscan pal can raze it, devote a shrine there, and it can then no longer be colonised. One big advantage is that any razed settlement near a herdstone counts as a bloodground, regardless of who razed it. So I've been doing a co-op campaign with Beastmen helping a Norscan chum, and it turns out it really helps offset the trouble Norsca tends to have.
